While the toppers have achieved record-breaking scores, the pass percentage for Group 1 has been quite low. As per ICAI data, this year’s CA Final Group 1 paper was particularly challenging. Group 1 recorded the lowest pass percentage, with only 12% of
candidates qualifying. While 20.49% of the candidates in Group 2 passed the exam.
Overall, 23776 appeared in both group 1 and 2 exams out of which 3345 candidates passed. The overall pass percentage stands at 14.07%.
Candidates who have cleared both groups or even a single group are now officially entitled to use the “CA” prefix before their name.
To pass the CA exam, candidates must score at least 40% in each paper and a minimum of 50% overall. Those who did not clear the exam should not lose hope, as ICAI has announced the registration schedule for the next attempt, the November 2026 exam.
