Sahibzada Farhan is playing as an opener for Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match against India in Dubai, and in the high-voltage match he has impressed with his batting so far. The right-handed batter, after getting two lifelines by Abhishek Sharma, completed his half-century in 34 balls. He crossed the 50-run mark by hitting Axar Patel for a six on the third ball of the 10th over of Pakistan’s innings.
He has hammered five fours and three sixes so far.
After reaching the 50-run mark, Farhan celebrated in an aggressive manner, and his gun celebration is going viral on the internet.
This is how sahibzada farhan celebrated his half century, signifying his bat as Ak 47 and pointing it towards Indian Dug out.

In the second Super 4s match of Asia Cup 2025, Farhan added 72 runs for the second wicket with Saim Ayub, who made 21 runs from 17 balls.
In the Asia Cup 2024 Group A match between India and Pakistan in Dubai on September 14 as well, Farhan impressed with his batting. In that match he top-scored for the Salman Ali Agha-led side by making 40 runs from 44 balls and during his stay at the crease hammered one four and three sixes.
Two lifelines by Abhishek
Farhan was batting on 0 runs from 2 balls when, on the third ball of the ongoing match, Abhishek dropped a routine catch of him in the third man region. Farhan tried to play the first attacking shot of the match off Hardik Pandya’s bowling, but it travelled straight to Abhishek. But the Indian was not able to convert the opportunity.
On the third ball of the 8th over of Pakistan’s innings, when Farhan was batting on 32 runs from 26 balls, he once again tried to play a big shot – this time down the ground off Axar Patel’s bowling. Abhishek once again had the chance to take the catch, but he failed one more time, and the ball instead went for six.
Fakhar opened for Pakistan
In the ongoing match against India, Pakistan made a tactical change by promoting Fakhar Zaman as opener in place of Saim Ayub. Zaman scored 50 runs from 36 balls for Pakistan in the last match played against UAE on Wednesday, whereas Ayub scored three ducks in the first three matches of the ongoing tournament. The decision to open with Zaman worked for the two-time champions, and he added 21 runs in 2.3 overs for the first wicket with Farhan.
