Team India romped to a 93-run win over Namibia in their second ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Group A fixture on Thursday as the hosts posted a total of 209 before bundling out the minnows for 116 runs.
Indian all-rounder Axar Patel picked up two wickets in the decimation job, the second of which was thanks to Jasprit Bumrah’s incredible diving catch to get rid of Malan Kruger for 5 runs.
Axar was all praise for the speedster’s effort in the field, and joked that he wouldn’t hear the end of it from the pacer for the upcoming days.

“What a catch yaar,” Axar was pictured applauding Bumrah following the conclusion of the game.
After the victory, presented and wife of Bumrah, Sanjana Ganesan, quizzed Axar about the moment.
“The delivery
that you bowled was caught by Japrit Bumrah. Did you expect that he’d take the catch in that manner?” she asked.
“When the ball was in the air, I knew it would be caught, but in the last moment, when I saw the ball moving away and Jassi was not there, you can also see my reaction on the TV, but Jasprit took the catch,” Axar began.
“Now I’ll never hear the end of it. See what a catch I took off your bowling?” he jested.
“So I’m ready to listen to it for a couple of days,” the all-rounder added.
Ganesan also passed on a message to Axar from Bumrah pertaining to the southpaw’s obsession with social media platform Snapchat.
“Jasprit Bumrah has specifically asked us to ask you a particular question and I have to ask you that. Why are you obsessed with snapchat? How did it start? I’m just the messenger,” Ganesan added.
“See, I’m doing this for the people. So they get to know what goes on around in the team.”
“Jasprit wouldn’t agree to feature on anyone else’s feed, so I knew I had to get him. And now he’s going around complaining about me,”
“But now you give him a message from me, now its my turn,” Axar joked!
“You guys are in the same team, why do I have to keep passing the messages,” Ganesan exclaimed.
