BSEB STET 2025 Application Begins: Steps To Apply, Eligibility Criteria

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has begun the application process for BSEB STET 2025 today, September 19, 2025. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 through the official website at bsebstet.org. Applications can also be made by visiting secondary.biharboardonline.com or biharboardonline.com.

Candidates should note that the last date to apply for BSEB STET 2025 is September 27, 2025. The STET 2025 will comprise two papers – Paper I (Secondary) and Paper II (Senior Secondary).

Bihar STET 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: To qualify for secondary-level teaching positions, candidates with a B.Ed. and a graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject with 50%

marks can apply. Those with a BA-B.Ed. or B.Sc. B.Ed. can also apply. For Higher Secondary level, candidates must have PG degree and B.Ed with minimum 50% marks.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for STET is 37 years. Women, BC, and MBC category candidates get a three-year age relaxation. SC and ST category candidates receive a five-year relaxation, and Divyang candidates get a ten-year relaxation.

Bihar STET 2025: Application Fee

The category-wise application fees for BSEB STET 2025 are as follows:

General/EWS/BC: Rs 960 for either Paper I or Paper II and Rs 1,440 for both Paper I and Paper II
SC/ST: Rs 760 for either Paper I or Paper II and Rs 1,140 for both Paper I and Paper II

Candidates can pay the application fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Bihar STET 2025: Documents Required

Candidates need to upload self-attested copies of the following certificates:

— Class 10 or Matriculation passing certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)
— Class 12 or Intermediate passing certificate and mark sheet
— Graduation certificate and mark sheet
— Post graduation certificate and mark sheet
— B.Ed. Certificate and mark sheet
— Other educational qualifications (if any)
— Residential certificate issued by the competent authority
— Caste certificate issued by the competent authority for SC/ST candidates
— Valid PwD certificate, in case of claiming disability, issued by the competent authority

How To Apply Bihar STET 2025?

The application process consists of three steps:

— First, candidates must register on the website by entering basic information such as name, mobile number, and email address, then generate an OTP to create a user ID and password.

— Second, after logging in, some information will be pre-filled, and candidates must accurately complete the remaining fields with educational and personal details. A color photo with a white background is also required to be uploaded.

— Third, candidates must pay the fee online according to their category and upload necessary documents such as 10th, 12th, graduation, post-graduation, and B.Ed. degrees.

After completing the form, preview and save it, then take a printout and keep the user ID and password secure.

How Many Marks Are Required To Pass Bihar STET 2025?

To pass the Bihar STET exam, candidates need to achieve specific minimum marks: 50% for general category, 45.5% for backward classes, 42.5% for extremely backward classes, and 40% for SC/ST, persons with disabilities, and women. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions with no negative marking. Successful candidates will receive a lifetime-valid passing certificate.
