Actor Hyun Bin, best known for his stint in the rom-com Crash Landing On You, is set to return to the small screen following a hiatus. He will be seen in Disney+’s upcoming series Made in Korea, directed
by one of Korea’s most celebrated film directors, Woo Min Ho. Actor Jung Woo Sung will be seen opposite him. Almost a month before the show’s release on the streaming platform, the makers revealed the character poster and a brief teaser featuring Hyun Bin on various social media platforms. The newly released poster features the actor’s character, Baek Ki Tae, wearing an earpiece and sporting an intense expression. His shirt formed the silhouette of the Korean Peninsula. The poster also featured the line, “I am a businessman,” hinting at the morally complex world he is set to navigate.

Meanwhile, the character teaser opens with a black-and-white close-up of Ki Tae, followed by the chilling narration, “This is a fight where someone has to die. And it won’t be me.”
With rapid cuts, a tense background music and Hyun Bin’s cold gaze, the teaser reveals the character’s ruthless nature. “I will bring down those with more power than me and, in the end, change the world. This world has always been a battleground for the powerful. Someone’s death becomes my opportunity in this war,” Baek Ki Tae said.
Made In Korea: Plot, Cast And Release Date
Set in the turbulent 1970s, Made in Korea’s story will centre on Baek Ki Tae, an ambitious man pursuing wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Geon Young, who puts everything on the line to stop him. Hyun Bin will portray Baek Ki Tae, the head of a department at the Korean Central Intelligence Agency.
Ki Tae is a character who treats the entire nation as his own business enterprise, who has an unending desire for wealth and power. He moves boldly between his role in the government and running dangerous operations as a businessman.
The series will premiere with two episodes on December 24, followed by another two on December 31. The remaining episodes will be released every Wednesday. Besides the two leads, the show will also star Won Ji An, Seo Eun Soo, Cho Yeo Jeong, Jung Sung Il, and Woo Do Hwan. Even before the show’s premiere, Made in Korea has been renewed for a second season.
