A new medical innovation has been introduced at Mohta Ayurvedic Hospital in Bikaner, Rajasthan, where traditional Ayurvedic medicine has been combined with modern technology to improve diagnosis and treatment.
The hospital has installed a pulse testing machine that can assess a patient’s overall health within two to three minutes. The test costs only Rs 50, making it affordable and accessible for the general public.
Patients from across the country visit the hospital to avail treatment using this method.
Machine Developed On Ayurvedic Principles
Dr Rajendra Kumar Sharma, an Ayurvedic doctor at Mohta Ayurvedic Hospital, said the pulse testing machine has been developed strictly on the principles of Ayurveda. He added that the machine has been in use for the last three years and has delivered
consistently positive results.
Pulse examination plays a crucial role in Ayurvedic diagnosis, helping doctors identify diseases accurately and begin timely treatment.
How The Pulse Testing Machine Works
Before the examination, patients are asked to provide complete personal details, including their name, age, weight, height, and other essential information. A specialised pulse testing device is then placed on the wrist at the pulse point.
The machine is connected to a computer system, which analyses the patient’s entire body condition based on pulse data.
Detailed Health Report Generated In Two Minutes
Within about two minutes, the system produces a detailed health report. This report highlights the patient’s physical nature, existing disorders, bodily imbalances, and even potential health risks they may face in the future.
It also clearly indicates the balance of vata, pitta, and kapha, which are central to Ayurvedic diagnosis and treatment planning.
Making Diagnosis Faster And More Scientific
According to Dr Sharma, pulse testing has always been significant in Ayurveda, but modern technology has made it more scientific, precise, and quicker. The machine’s reports help doctors plan targeted and effective treatment without lengthy diagnostic procedures.
This innovation has reduced the need for complex and time-consuming medical tests. With complete health information available in minutes, the facility is proving especially beneficial for rural residents and middle-income groups.
A New Direction For Ayurveda
The initiative at Mohta Ayurvedic Hospital reflects how traditional medical systems, when supported by modern technology, can provide efficient and affordable healthcare.
It also signals a new direction for Ayurveda in serving the health needs of the common people.
