As 2025 draws to a close, Pamela Anderson is breaking her silence about her brief but memorable romance with Liam Neeson, her co-star in the summer hit The Naked Gun. While the surprising relationship
made headlines, Anderson, 58, opens up about their private connection for the first time in PEOPLE magazine.
“If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming,” Anderson says. The couple spent an “intimate week” together at Neeson’s home in upstate New York. “I had my own room,” she adds. “Our assistants both came; even family stopped by.”
The two enjoyed simple, personal moments, including dining at a small French restaurant where Neeson introduced Anderson as the “future Mrs. Neeson.” She also tended to a rosebush in his garden, a gesture he appreciated. Amid their romantic week, Neeson even chased a bear from the breakfast window in his bathrobe, a moment Anderson recalls fondly.
From Romance to Friendship: A Lasting Connection
After their week together, they went separate ways to focus on other projects but reconnected during the summer promotion of The Naked Gun. Anderson describes their chemistry as playful and cinematic, “a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film.” She fondly recalls giving Neeson a swipe of her Sonsie lip balm on Andy Cohen’s What What Happens Live.
“I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings,’” Anderson says. While she admits she adores Neeson, she clarifies, “we are better friends, in full honesty.”
The last time they met was in August, when Neeson attended Anderson’s performance at the Williamstown Theater Festival. “He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me,” she says. “I’m sure we will always be in each other’s lives.”
