At a time when his personal life has become the subject of intense public chatter, Govinda made an appearance in Lucknow. The actor met Yogi Adityanath on Saturday, sharing a moment that he later described as “divine”. Govinda took to Instagram to post a photo from the meeting, held at the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s official residence. In the photo, the actor is seen holding an idol of Lord Krishna while standing beside Yogi Adityanath. Sharing the photo, Govinda wrote, “It was divine having a great time with respected Honourable Chief Minister Uttar pradesh, thank you so much aderniya Yogi Adityanath ji.”
A public appearance during a difficult phase The meeting comes at a moment when Govinda has been
openly speaking about the pressures he is facing, both personally and professionally. For months, rumours have circulated about trouble in his marriage with Sunita Ahuja, keeping the actor in the headlines for reasons beyond his work. Recently, Govinda addressed the situation while speaking to ANI, saying he believes a “conspiracy” has been created around him. Opening up about the emotional toll, the actor said, “This wealth and fame don’t spare anyone, and conspiracies like these don’t happen with everyone. I know a very well-known actor who was the victim of it, and now it’s me, though I am not as big as he is. I pray to god that he saves me from this problem, and I also pray for the welfare of my children. There has been a lot of struggle. I am a simple man with the blessing of my mother,” Govinda said, adding that he is a religious person. Marriage rumours refuse to die down Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been under constant scrutiny, especially after Sunita’s recent comments added fuel to speculation about the actor’s alleged closeness to another woman. Her comments, made during a conversation with Miss Malini, sparked fresh debate online. Addressing questions about her earlier statements, Sunita said, “Mere bache bade ho gaye (My kids are grown up now). I have always said that they get disturbed. I always say that yeh tumhari umar nahi hai (this is not the age for this). Lekin kya hai na, aajkal ki jo ladkiyan aati hain struggle karne ke liye, they need a sugar daddy jo unka kharcha chalaye. Shakal do kaudi ki hai, heroine banna hai. Phir kya karte hain, phasa lenge, blackmail karenge (The girls who come today to struggle need a sugar daddy to pick up their expenses. They don’t have a good face but want to be heroines. So they entice men and blackmail them).” A career that shaped Hindi cinema Despite the controversy, Govinda remains one of Bollywood’s most recognisable stars. Over the years, he has delivered memorable performances in films such as Raja Babu, Coolie No.1, Partner, Bhagam Bhag, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Dulhe Raja and Aankhen.
