Pinkie Roshan Mourns Zarine Khan’s Death, Recalls How They Supported Each Other During Hrithik-Sussanne Split

Sussanne Khan and Zayed Khan’s mother Zarine Khan passed away on November 7. She was 81, and had been battling age-related issues for some time. Now, Hrithik Roshan’s mother Pinkie Roshan has mourned Zarine Khan’s demise. She wrote that they shared a ‘very rare’ friendship. She recalled how their bond deepened as they supported each other through Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne’s divorce. They consoled and comforted each other during the difficult time, choosing compassion over bitterness and hatred.

Hrithik Roshan’s Mother Pinkie Roshan Remembers Zarine Khan

Pinkie Roshan took to her Instagram account to share a picture with Sussanne Khan’s mother Zarine Khan. Remembering her, Hrithik Roshan’s mother wrote, “A friendship very rare. A relationship very precious. Two mothers whose hearts were happy for each

other and happiest when our children turned our friendship into mother of the bride and mother of the groom. Till untill destiny had its own plans. Our children grew apart and whilst facing their toughest phase we as mothers chose empathy and compassion over bitterness and hatred.”

She further added, “We got even closer as we consoled each other with tears in our eyes hugged each other comforted each other……. Tried our best and we found our bond getting stronger and our friendship,,,more secure than ever….Zar i will miss you.” Zayed Khan and Farah Khan reacted to the post and dropped red heart emojis.

In another post, Pinkie Roshan wrote, “Zarine Khan. In todays world where we all need therapy counselling but anyone who knew Zar ….she was therapy.”

Hrithik and Sussanne tied the knot in 2000. They are parents to two sons- Hrehaan and Hridaan. Hrithik and Sussanne separated in 2013, and their divorce was finalised in 2014. They share an amicable relationship despite the divorce, and continue to co-parent their sons.

Meanwhile, the family hosted a prayer meet for Zarine Khan on November 10, where friends from the industry came to console the grieving family. An inside video from the prayer meet showed Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, and Sanjay Khan teary-eyed as friends and family members paid tribute to Zarine Khan.

Zarine’s ex-son-in-law and Sussanne Khan’s former husband, Hrithik Roshan, also attended the prayer meet with his girlfriend, Saba Azad. A video of Hrithik paying tribute to Zarine surfaced on social media. In the clip, a visibly emotional Hrithik was seen saying, “It has been my privilege to love and to be loved by you.”
