On Thursday, November 20, their agency, AM Entertainment, confirmed the news and announced their decision to walk the aisle.

“We would like to share some happy news about our actors Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin. Based on the deep trust they have built over their long relationship, Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin promised to become each other’s lifelong partners,” the agency shared in their statement, as quoted by Soompi.

agency announced that the pair will marry on December 20 in a private setting in Seoul. “Their wedding will be held privately on December 20 in Seoul with both families, relatives, and close friends in attendance,” the agency shared.

Following the announcement, the Genie, Make a Wish star also shared a handwritten letter with his fans on his online community. He began the letter by asking his fans how they were doing, as temperatures had suddenly dropped. He then added, “I am writing this because I want to be the first to share the news with my fans, who have always shown me unwavering love and support despite my shortcomings. I am getting married. I will start a family with the person I have been with for a long time, and we will now walk together. Until we meet again, please always stay healthy and happy.”

Shin Min Ah, who is best known for her roles in Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Oh My Venus, and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, met with Kim Woo Bin, known for his roles in The Heirs, Uncontrollably Fond, and Genie, Make A Wish, in 2015. They were working as the ambassadors for the same brand back then. In July that year, the pair confirmed their relationship. Just two years later, Woo Bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and had put his career on the back burner. That time, Min Ah became his pillar of support and strength. She declined projects and stayed beside him during his treatment.

Following the treatment, the two appeared together in the K-drama Our Blues. Over the years, the couple made rare public appearances, with the latest being their visit to a Buddhist temple in May.
