Her caption captured the emotional core of her message: “I still have moments where my legs shake and my mind runs faster than it needs to…but I’ve also learned that stepping back doesn’t make me fragile. It makes me unbreakable, because I’m choosing myself. If you feel this way too, I’m right here with you. We’re all figuring it out, one breath at a time.”
Sunaina Reflects How Common Social Anxiety Is
In the video, Sunaina explained that social anxiety often shows up through subtle but overwhelming sensations, the kind many people silently experience. She pointed out that most individuals deal with these emotions but hesitate to express them.
She shared, “You know, social anxiety is something a lot of us deal with, even if you don’t talk about it. It’s that uncomfortable feeling before you enter a room. It’s overthinking each and every conversation. It’s worrying about being judged even when nobody’s actually judging you.”
She added that these symptoms are not just mental; they often manifest physically, something she has personally faced for years.
Physical Symptoms: Shivering, Numbness and the Need for Support
Sunaina described how her anxiety frequently triggers physical reactions — shivering legs, numbness and a sense of feeling unsteady. She recalled, “When I have too many people around me, my legs shiver, they go numb, and they feel unstable. So, I need to hold on to someone for support and honestly because of this I’ve been away from social media.”
Healing Through Stillness: Why Stepping Back Matters
Sunaina stressed that withdrawing temporarily is not a sign of weakness, but a necessary step to regain inner stability. She explained that when social anxiety overwhelms her, creating space for herself becomes essential.
According to her, “Sometimes stepping back is the only way to breathe.” She further shared that practices like deep breathing, journaling, meditation and therapy have helped her navigate these moments.
Towards the end of her message, Sunaina reminded viewers that anyone struggling with social anxiety should know they are not alone. She encouraged people to treat themselves with gentleness, saying that everyone is still learning, healing and finding their way at their own pace.
