A 17-year-old student from Bhopal, who was preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in Kota, died on Friday after allegedly falling from the ninth floor of a multi-storey building.
The student,
identified as Ishan Paliwal, was living with his mother in the Jawahar Nagar area of Kota while attending a coaching institute.
Ishan, who hailed from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, fell from the balcony of their building and suffered serious injuries. Despite being rushed to a private hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
DSP Yogesh Sharma confirmed the incident and stated that the cause of the fall—whether it was an accident or suicide—has yet to be determined. The local police have sent a forensic team to the scene to gather evidence and investigate further.
Ishan’s mother was present with him at the time of the incident and is said to be in a state of shock following her son’s death.
The body of the deceased has been sent to the mortuary at MBS Hospital for a postmortem examination, which will be conducted once Ishan’s father arrives from Bhopal.
