Calling Asha Bhosle’s demise “truly the end of an era,” Anuradha Paudwal, while speaking to News18 Showsha, shared, “Asha ji was not just a voice; she was life itself.”
Recalling Bhosle as someone full of energy, mischief, and soul, Anuradha Paudwal added, “There was a certain sparkle in her… a childlike joy that never faded, no matter how many years passed. And that same spirit flowed into every song she sang. She didn’t just perform… she felt, she lived every note.”

the late singer for her versatility, Paudwal added, “Her versatility was something we may never witness again. Fearless. Unmatched.”
Asha Bhosle’s demise feels like “a part of music’s heart has stopped beating” to Anuradha, who, while extending her condolences, concluded, “But her voice… her magic… will never fade. It will stay with us, comforting us, inspiring us, living on through generations. May her soul attain sadgati.”

Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, who was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital following a cardiac arrest, has died at the age of 92. On April 11, the iconic singer suffered a reported cardiac arrest, following which she was taken to the emergency unit of the hospital, where she passed away. Minister of Cultural Affairs of Maharashtra Ashish Shelar announced the grim news. Her mortal remains will be kept at her residence from 11 am to 3 pm tomorrow, and the last rites will take place at Shivaji Park at 4 pm.
Asha Bhosle was one of the most loved singers in India, and her contribution to the Indian music industry was widely recognised. The list of timeless hits includes classics such as Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Dum Maaro Dum, Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko, Jhumka Gira Re, Yeh Mera Dil, Dil Cheez Kya Hai, O Mere Sona Re, and In Aankhon Ki Masti Ke Mastane Hazaaron Hain.
