Argal was the Player of the Match in the 2008 U19 World Cup final, which Kohli led the Indian team to win. He picked up two wickets while giving away just seven runs, taking India to the big win.
Despite being picked by Kings XI Punjab in the inaugural Indian Premier League season in 2008, Argal’s playing career never quite took off. He later worked in the Income Tax Department before clearing the BCCI umpiring
examination and officiating as an umpire in IPL 2026.
