Star Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma was left frustrated by the officials who prolonged the check ahead of the icon’s innings against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede in Mumbai on Sunday in the IPL match between the five-time champions and the holders.
Rohit’s bat was subject to inspection by the officials, and the delay in the clearance irked the batter ahead of their chase.

Mumbai opted to field after winning the toss, but RCB made a blistering start as Kohli and Salt surged to 70 runs in the powerplay. Salt raced to a quickfire fifty, first attacking Mitch Santner and then worsening Mumbai’s
woes by taking on Mayank Markande to push the scoring rate even higher.
Kohli then took Bengaluru past 100 with a boundary, while Salt continued to dominate, scoring freely across the ground. Shardul Thakur finally ended the partnership by removing the England batter, but captain Rajat Patidar walked in with clear attacking intent, unleashing a series of powerful blows against the MI bowlers.
Kohli brought up his half-century from 38 balls before being dismissed by Pandya, with Suryakumar Yadav completing the catch in the deep, which brought Tim David to the middle. Patidar soon reached his own fifty with a boundary, but was later sent back by Santner.
Jitesh Sharma fell for 10 to the bowling of Trent Boult, after which David stayed unbeaten on 34 from 16 balls, guiding RCB to an imposing total.
