Govinda has been hitting headlines lately amid ongoing speculation surrounding his personal life. Recently, his wife, Sunita Ahuja, visited the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai with her son Yashvardhan. Reportedly, she officially withdrew her divorce petition against Govinda. Amid their ongoing marital issues, it is being reported that Govinda might be making his debut in the reality TV space as a contestant. Reports suggest that the actor has been approached for Rise And Fall Season 2.
According to Variety India, Govinda has been approached for the show and is keen on coming on board, with the actor said to be in the final stages of negotiations. If the deal comes through, it would mark his first stint as a contestant on a reality show. Govinda has previously
hosted the game show Jeeto Chappar Phaad Ke and has made several reality TV appearances over the years, including guest spots on Indian Idol, Dance India Dance and Super Dancer. He has also appeared on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. His most recent reality TV appearance was on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, where he arrived to pick up his wife, Sunita Ahuja, after she exited the show, citing health concerns.
Rise And Fall is the Indian adaptation of the British reality format created by Studio Lambert and originally hosted by Greg James. The show’s first season was hosted by Ashneer Grover, the BharatPe co-founder and former Shark Tank India judge.
Meanwhile, Govinda’s personal life has remained under public scrutiny in recent months. Sunita previously made remarks about the actor’s alleged association with Komal Rani Swarnkar, even claiming that he wanted to marry her. In December 2024, Sunita reportedly approached the Bandra Family Court for divorce, citing adultery, cruelty and desertion in her petition. However, his manager recently said that Sunita has since withdrawn the divorce case, adding that the couple has resolved their differences amicably.
