Taking charge early, Sciver-Brunt stabilised the innings with a measured approach before shifting gears. Harmanpreet Kaur provided solid support, playing with her trademark authority and freedom. Together, they built a vital 66-run partnership for the third wicket, transforming a cautious start into a position of strength. While Sciver-Brunt anchored the innings, Harmanpreet added flair, finishing unbeaten on 74 off 42 balls, featuring crisp boundaries and towering sixes, pushing MI to an imposing 195 for 4.
Sciver-Brunt also partnered effectively with Gunalan Kamalini, maintaining momentum through the middle overs. After Sciver-Brunt’s late dismissal, Harmanpreet took full control, ensuring the team had a strong total to defend.
Delhi Capitals’ chase faltered after a promising start was disrupted by Nicola Carey. Chinelle Henry offered the lone resistance for Delhi with a powerful 56 off 33 balls, briefly narrowing the margin. However, the continuous fall of wickets led to her eventual dismissal, sealing Delhi’s fate as they were bowled out for 145.
