EPR Iyer Pays Tribute To Bhagat Singh With Inquilab Zindabad; Mera Bhagat Series In Development

Collective Studios’ Historyverse has released Inquilab Zindabad, a new song inspired by the life, ideas and legacy of Bhagat Singh. Penned and performed by EPR Iyer, the track looks at the revolutionary figure beyond familiar slogans, tracing the experiences and convictions that shaped his political journey and eventual sacrifice.

Produced by GJ Storm, with music by Trilok and visuals by Trilok Collective, the song has been presented by Trilok and Collective Studios. The makers describe it as a contemporary musical interpretation of Bhagat Singh’s story, with his ideas remaining at the centre of the composition.

EPR Iyer Fronts Inquilab Zindabad

Rather than approaching Bhagat Singh only through historical imagery, Inquilab Zindabad attempts to revisit

the beliefs and experiences associated with him through music.

EPR Iyer has both written and performed the song, while GJ Storm has handled production. Trilok has composed the music, with Trilok Collective working on the visuals.

The track follows Bhagat Singh’s journey from the influences that shaped his worldview to the revolutionary path that eventually made him one of the most recognisable figures of India’s freedom struggle.

The song also takes its title from one of the phrases most strongly associated with the revolutionary movement, using it as the anchor for a tribute intended to connect Bhagat Singh’s ideas with younger audiences.

Mera Bhagat Series Also In The Works

The song arrives as Collective Studios’ Historyverse develops a separate series based on Bhagat Singh.

Titled Mera Bhagat, the upcoming project is being produced by Vijay Subramaniam and Manish Hathiramani. The series is currently in development and will examine Bhagat Singh beyond the image that has become embedded in popular culture.

According to the makers, the series will look more closely at the person behind the revolutionary icon, including the ideas, influences and experiences that informed his choices.

While details about the cast, format and release timeline have not yet been announced, Mera Bhagat is being positioned as a deeper exploration of Bhagat Singh’s life and thought.

A Musical Tribute To Bhagat Singh’s Legacy

With Inquilab Zindabad, Historyverse has chosen music as its first route into the larger Bhagat Singh story.

The track places emphasis on his beliefs, revolutionary spirit and sacrifice while presenting them through a contemporary soundscape. It also serves as an early extension of the work being developed around Mera Bhagat.

Both projects place Bhagat Singh’s ideas at the forefront, with Inquilab Zindabad functioning as a standalone tribute and the forthcoming series set to examine his journey in greater detail.
