Prithviraj Sukumaran has joined SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited movie, Globe Trotter. On Friday, the filmmaker took to his X handle to welcome the actor on board. He also shared Prithviraj’s first look from
the movie and revealed that the actor will be playing the role of a ‘powerful antagonist’ named Kumbah in his directorial.
In the first look poster, Prithviraj was seen seated on an automated wheelchair. He maintained a stern expression on his face as he also looked scary and dangerous. “After canning the first shot with Prithvi, I walked up to him and said you are one of the finest actors I’ve ever known. Bringing life to this sinister, ruthless, powerful antagonist KUMBHA was creatively very satisfying. Thank you Prithvi for slipping into his chair… literally,” Rajamouli wrote. Check it out here:

Priyanka Chopra also shared Prithviraj’s Globe Trotter poster on her Instagram handle and wrote, “We take off with this one…Meet KUMBHA!! @therealprithvi”
Globe Trotter Plot Revealed?
Recently, a report by The Citizen from Tanzania claimed that SS Rajamouli’s film with Mahesh Babu revolves around a “rugged explorer” who is fighting an enemy to protect the world. “Inspired by Indiana Jones and African adventure classics, the film follows a rugged explorer who sets out on a high-stakes mission through uncharted terrain, battling nature, mystery, and a powerful enemy to uncover a long-lost secret that could change the world. Think ancient legends, wild landscapes, and edge-of-your-seat thrills,” the synopsis of the movie, as quoted by the Tanzanian media portal, said.
Globe Trotter will star Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. Previously also, it was reported that the film is expected to be an action-adventure drama in the vein of Indiana Jones, a genre Rajamouli’s father and veteran writer Vijayendra Prasad has also confirmed in several interviews.
Globe Trotter’s release date has not been announced as of now.
