Navratri festivities are incomplete without dancing garba and dandiya to the tunes of the iconic Falguni Pathak. Lovingly known as the Dandiya Queen, she has long performed at the MaKaBo ground in Borivali,
enthralling thousands of fans with her lively songs. But this year, she decided otherwise. Instead of her usual platform, she performed at Radiance Dandiya Navratri Utsav 2025 in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) between September 22 and October 1.
Despite initial disappointment about the change of location, the love that Falguni received at the Jio World Convention Centre made up for it. The crowd present at the venue witnessed an unforgettable moment when Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, took the stage to introduce the singer as the “soul and voice of dandiya” on September 22.

The moment she was done, the crowd of 10,000 people erupted in loud cheers. Chants of “Falguni, Falguni” filled the entire auditorium, which led Nita Ambani to pause her speech and smile at the crowd as they roared with utmost excitement.
A video shared by a guest at the event captured the “goosebump-inducing” moment, where thousands of fans were seen cheering for Falguni Pathak. “Nita Ambani stops her speech in between when 10,000+ fans cheer aloud ‘Falguni… Falguni… Falguni,’” read the text overlaying the clip.

In the caption, the guest, who shared her experience, discussed the sudden venue change. “This year lot of sentiments are around Falguni ji performing at Jio Convention Centre instead of Borivali like previous years. But trust me, this was elevated experience that we needed for such high gathering and popular artists’ events, specially in today’s time where infrastructure is much better at such venue. Large and open space, big screens, even carpet area to dance carefree, very well ventilation, Safety, clean washrooms, better sound system, longer playing time,” she wrote.
She continued, “I could only see all positives of moving Falguni’s show to this new Location. Of course, even I had to travel more than an hour, but that was issue for so many people travelling to Borivali from other part of the city, isn’t it? There is No Question to be asked, there is No Doubt Anywhere that @falgunipathak12 is OG Garba Queen ruling hearts since decades.”

Nita Ambani Shared She Has Known Falguni Pathak For Over 2 Decades
Nita Ambani, while addressing the crowd, shared that she has known Falguni Pathak for over two decades. She said, “When I was a young girl, I used to dance all nine nights of Navratri. It brings back so many beautiful, youthful memories. I have known Falguni (Pathak) for 25 years.”
