In the 15th league match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants. The match between the two star-studded teams is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday (April 9). LSG have won one out of two matches played so far in IPL 2026, whereas KKR have lost two out of three matches in IPL 2026, and one game (vs PBKS on April 6) ended without a result due to rain.
For KKR, captain Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi have impressed with their batting, but the likes of Finn Allen and Cameron Green are yet to play big knocks in IPL 2026. In the bowling, the experienced spin duo of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy have failed to stop the flow
of runs and were unable to take wickets either in the first couple of matches.
LSG, on the other hand, are coming into Thursday’s match after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon. In that fixture, Mohammed Shami impressed with his bowling, and skipper Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten half-century. But the likes of Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh are yet to deliver as per their reputation.
