After years of near misses, BTS is back in the Grammy conversation — this time through its individual members. While the full group is currently on hiatus due to military enlistments, Jin, J-Hope, and
RM have entered their solo projects for consideration at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Despite receiving five Grammy nominations between 2021 and 2023 — for chart-toppers like Dynamite, Butter, and their collaboration with Coldplay on Music of the Spheres — BTS has yet to secure a win. With the trio’s new submissions, fans are once again rallying behind them, determined to see the long-awaited trophy finally make its way to South Korea.
Jin, J-Hope, RM Eye Top Grammy Categories
According to reports, Jin has submitted his debut album Echo in the Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album categories. His emotional single Don’t Say You Love Me is also in the running for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Meanwhile, J-Hope is aiming for multiple nods with his energetic hit Killin’ It Girl, which has been submitted for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video. His track Mona Lisa is contending for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Global Music Performance, while Sweet Dreams has been entered for Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Reports suggest that RM, too, has made key submissions for his introspective solo album, although category details remain under wraps.
ARMYs Rally Behind The Trio
For BTS’ massive global fanbase, known as ARMY, the Grammys have long been a sore subject. Many fans have accused the Recording Academy of “using BTS for viewership” without granting them the recognition they deserve. Still, with Jin, J-Hope, and RM now in the solo race, optimism is high.
The official nominations for the 2026 Grammys will be announced later this year. Until then, all eyes remain on whether this could finally be the moment BTS or rather, its unstoppable members break the Grammy jinx once and for all.
