Star spinner Shree Charani bowled her full quota of four overs for India in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Group A match against South Africa in Manchester on Sunday (June 21) and returned with figures of 3/24.
The 21-year-old cricketer from Andhra Pradesh opened her wicket account by dismissing South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt on the second ball of her second over. She then removed Annerie Dercksen on the fourth ball of the same over. While Wolvaardt was caught and bowled, Charani breached Dercksen’s defence to send her back to the pavilion for a two-ball duck.
Her third wicket of the match came in the form of Nadine de Klerk, who was bowled on the fifth ball of her fourth over and South Africa’s 18th over of the innings.
