17-year-old wicketkeeper-batter G Kamalini and spinner Vaishnavi Sharma, who made their T20I debuts for India in the series against Sri Lanka last month, on Saturday (January 17) earned maiden India ODI
call-ups for the upcoming series in Australia. Along with them, Kashvee Gautam is also back in India’s ODI squad.
Opening batter Pratika Rawal, who has still not recovered from the injury that she suffered during the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 match against Bangladesh in Navi Mumbai on October 25, was not considered for selection, whereas wicketkeeper Uma Chetry, fast-bowling all-rounder Arundhati Reddy and spin-bowling all-rounder Radha Yadav have been dropped from the squad.
For the T20I series, Bharti Fulmali is back in the side along with spinner Shreyanka Patil. Fulmali last played T20Is for India in 2019.

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain India in both the ODI and T20I series, and Smriti Mandhana will be her deputy.
Along with Harman, Smriti, Kamalini and Vaishnavi, Shafali Verma, Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh, Amanjot Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues are picked in both the squads.
India will play three ODIs, three T20Is and one Test match in Australia from February 15 to March 9.
The three T20Is are scheduled in Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide on February 15, 19 and 21, respectively, whereas Allan Border Field in Brisbane will host the first ODI on February 24. The second and third 50-over matches between the two teams will be played at Bellerive Oval in Hobart on February 27 and March 1, respectively.
