Travel vlogger Sean Hammond is known for chasing unusual experiences, but his latest flight pushed even him into unfamiliar territory. In a new video, the Irish creator documents his journey on an airline often labelled as one of the most dangerous in the world. The reputation alone was enough to make him nervous before take-off.
What followed, however, turned into a surprising mix of fear, awe, and calm that quickly caught the internet’s attention.
Sean Shares His Nerves Before Take-Off
The video begins with Sean seated inside the aircraft, filming himself from his window seat. A calm but serious voiceover plays as he sets the context for the journey. In the clip, he says, “I’m flying on the most dangerous airline in the world, where apparently
over 30 per cent of the people flying the planes aren’t even real pilots. And for that reason, this airline is banned all across European airspace.”
As the plane prepares to move, Sean admits he is uneasy. He tightens his seatbelt and tries to settle in. The voiceover continues, “It’s safe to say I was a little nervous. So I strapped myself in and got ready for the flight.” His body language matches his words, showing clear tension as the aircraft begins its journey.
Fear Turns Into Awe Mid-Air
Things change once Sean opens the window blind. The camera shifts to the outside view, revealing vast mountain ranges below. The scenery clearly takes him by surprise. He explains that seeing the view helped ease his fear, calling it the most beautiful sight he has ever seen from a plane.
Still, the nerves return when he remembers where they are headed. He mentions they are flying into Pakistan’s most dangerous airport, known for its very short runway and difficult landing conditions. Despite this, the descent is calm. Sean admits the landing feels smooth, far better than he expected.

Smooth Landing Sparks Online Debate
After touching down safely, Sean sums up his experience honestly. He says the landing was “as smooth as butter” and adds, “So license or no license, I think these Pakistani pilots are doing a pretty good job.”
The caption echoes the same feeling. It reads, “I was told that this was the most dangerous airline in the world, which I admit did make me a little nervous.” It goes on to praise the pilots for handling sharp turns and a short runway with ease.
Viewers React Strongly In The Comments
As the video gained attention, many users shared their opinions in the comments, leading to a lively debate. Some viewers strongly defended the pilots and questioned the claims made about the airline’s safety record.
A user wrote, “Pakistani pilots are brilliant. Especially when it comes to downing Indian jets.” Another commented, “Pakistan’s aura dar k agy jeet ha.”
Others focused on their own travel experiences. “Some of the best landings and smooth takeoffs I have experienced are with Pakistani pilots. Not sure where the rumours are coming from,” a person said.
A few users also challenged the facts mentioned in the video. A comment read, “The pilot ‘news’ is fake news. And it’s not banned in Europe.” Another added a nostalgic note, saying, “PIA used to be the pioneer of commercial airlines decades ago. Literally trained Emirates and Qatar airlines. It’s a shame.”
