Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V, posted a heartfelt note on his Instagram Stories thanking fans for their support throughout 2025 and expressing excitement for the year ahead. But what quickly caught everyone’s attention was a comical AI-edited image he shared, which has since gone viral on Instagram.
The edit humorously transformed the BTS members’ pictures into rugged, bearded versions of themselves, leaving fans laughing out loud. Taehyung’s own image was almost unrecognisable after the edit. Earlier, as part of his New Year’s message, he wrote, “To everyone who loves me thank you for all you’ve carried and endured this past year. In the year ahead let’s take the time to create moments that truly matter, memories we’ll hold close! I love you all Happy
New Year!

The Much-Awaited BTS Comeback
BTS, the global K-pop phenomenon, has officially announced its long-awaited comeback, bringing an end to the group’s nearly four-year hiatus. BigHit Music announced on social media that the seven-member group would return on March 20, 2026, driving fans around the world into a frenzy. The comeback comes after all seven members—RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook, and j-hope—completed South Korea’s mandatory military service, which had put group activities on hiatus since 2022.
Suga was the final member to complete his service, which ended in June 2025. Due to a shoulder ailment, the rapper reportedly chose to work as a social service agent instead of serving in the military. The remaining six members—RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Jung Kook, and J-hope—served in the South Korean army. The group had previously hinted at their comeback intentions in the summer of 2025, when they promised a world tour and announced that a new album would be released in the spring of 2026. BTS’s upcoming album will be their first since the anthology Proof in 2022. It will also follow their 2021 Japanese compilation BTS, the Best, and their most recent studio album, Be, which was released in 2020 amid the height of the pandemic.
