Everton got the better of Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday as David Moyes clinched a win as the visiting manager at the fabled ground on his 18th attempt as the Toffees rallied from a man down
to register a 1-0 win over Ruben Amorim’s men.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored the only goal of the match. This came after Idrissa Gueye was sent off as early as the 13th minute for an altercation with his own teammate, Michael Keane.
Despite the marching orders, the Merseyside club fought to pick up all three points on offer on the road and Moyes went on to reveal that despite being a bit annoyed with the confrontation between his players, he was delighted with the passion they demonstrated.
“I didn’t think were was anything in it… I was quite pleased!”

“I didn’t think there was anything in it,” the 62-year-old said.
“I was a bit annoyed that they were challenging each other at the time, but I was also quite pleased,” the Glaswegian continued.
“Quite pleased about fighting each other, because it showed me that they cared and showed me that they were in it,” the former Manchester United boss added.
Manchester United currently occupy the 10th spot in the English Premier League after losing to their former manager David Moyes, with 18 points from 12 matches this season. Everton closely follows at 11th, also with 18 points, matching United’s tally under Amorim.
Amorim expressed his concern about preventing the team from repeating the downward trajectory experienced in the previous season.
“I am fearful of revisiting the feelings from last season. That is my greatest worry. We must work together. We will work together,” the Portuguese manager said.
“I need to improve in explaining to the players how to handle every game situation. Again, I think they began the game with a different intensity, which was really challenging for us,” the 40-year-old United gaffer added.
