Islamabad, Apr 18 (PTI) Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif returned home on Saturday after a tri-nation visit in West Asia during which he held discussions on regional peace and bilateral ties with top leaders.
Sharif visited Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkiye, where he met top leaders. In Turkiye, he also attended the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The prime minister’s return comes amid indications of a possible second round of US-Iran talks in Islamabad.
Though no dates have been fixed for the second round, next week is seen as crucial in view of the ceasefire deadline set to expire on April 22.
According to Radio Pakistan, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on the prime minister in Lahore and “congratulated him on the successful
visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkiye”.
Naqvi also briefed Sharif on the current situation in the country and provided updates on his recent diplomatic visits. PTI SH SCY SCY
