BTS star Jimin, who has been keeping a low profile ever since his military discharge, shared an update, revealing that he has officially said goodbye to his mirror graffiti. Yes, the same one that he created
two years ago before enlisting in the military. On Tuesday, October 28, the idol surprised fans with his rare Instagram update, where he was seen wiping away the colourful artwork that had once brightened HYBE’s dance practice room.
He had made the graffiti alongside bandmate Kim Taehyung, aka V, which featured a massive, halo-like sketch made with a mix of colours. Alongside it, they drew a purple heart and wrote messages from their fans in Korean, like “I’ll be back,” “Don’t worry. I’ll [We’ll] go to catch you soon,” “Please be healthy, don’t fall sick (get hurt), and stay only happily,” and “I love you very much.” Even his BTS bandmate J-Hope had previously shared that the graffiti stood the test of time, even when the group was absent from the practice room due to their mandatory military service.
J-Hope Teases Jimin As He Cleans His Mirror Graffiti
The graffiti was so iconic that neither HYBE staff members nor other K-pop idols ever touched or removed it until Jimin decided to do so himself. Jimin’s post began with him standing in front of the mirror graffiti, holding a piece of cloth. In the next two pictures, he gave fans a closer look at his masterpiece before wiping it off. The last slide of the carousel featured a sped-up video of the 30-year-old singer wiping the mirror clean with a towel, letting out a soft sigh in between, and saying it was not easy to clean. Once done, he smiled and promised to work hard at the studio.
In the caption of the post, Jimin wrote, “Deleting (removing) the graffiti after 2 years.” Adding a light-hearted touch, J-hope commented under his post, saying, “I need to use the practice room now, so please clean it up thoroughly.”
