Roi Roi Binale Box Office: Zubeen Garg’s Last Film Earns Rs 36 Crore

Zubeen Garg’s last film, Roi Roi Binale, has made history, drawing large crowds throughout its theatrical run. Reportedly, the film premiered to packed houses with fans from all across the Northeast going to see the iconic artist’s final performance. As per the latest update, the film which was released on October 31 has earned over 36 crore globally.

As per sacnilk, Roi Roi Binale has earned about Rs 31.05 crore in India and about Rs 36.37 crore globally. The Assam government would transfer Rs 2.90 crore from the state GST generated from Zubeen Garg’s last film Roi Roi Binale to a foundation established by the late singer.

Roi Roi Binale’s Success

Roi Roi Binale’s exceptional box office performance was propelled by a huge emotional wave, as it

was the final film of the beloved Assamese musician Zubeen Garg. In its first week, the film played exclusively on every single screen in the state as a show of appreciation, and it remained near capacity throughout.

Roi Roi Binale Director On Making The Musical

Speaking about the film, director Rajesh Bhuyan said, “We were working on this movie for the last three years. The story and music of the movie were by Zubeen Garg… This was the first musical Assamese movie… We had completed almost all the work on the movie, except for the background music.”

“Zubeen Garg wanted this movie to be released on 31st October, so we have decided to release it on the same date, not just in Assam, but nationwide… Zubeen Garg’s voice is almost 80-90% clear, as we had recorded it using a lapel mic. So we will use his original voice only,” he added.

The production billed the picture as a musical love story set in a region recuperating from the effects of terrorism.

Zubeen Garg died on September 19 while scuba diving in Singapore. The musician had come to Singapore to take part in the North East Festival, where he was set to perform the day of the tragedy.
