Dressed in an archival Chanel Haute Couture look from Karl Lagerfeld’s Autumn/Winter 1996 collection, Isha stepped out in a molten gold ensemble that felt equal parts regal, editorial and impossibly current.
The outfit, a rare Gold ‘Lesage’ Quilted Pantsuit with the iconic Gripoix belt was sourced from vintage luxury curator Tab Vintage and reportedly comes with a staggering price tag of ₹31.5 lakh. What makes the piece truly special, however, is its couture history. Designed during Karl Lagerfeld’s transformative era at Chanel, the look carries the designer’s signature codes: sharply tailored silhouettes,
maximalist embellishment and dramatic femininity. Lagerfeld famously revived Chanel in the 1980s and 1990s by reimagining the house’s classic elegance with bolder, more theatrical glamour.

The intricate embroidery on the suit also nods to Maison Lesage, the legendary French embroidery atelier known for its couture craftsmanship and decades-long collaboration with Chanel. The textured quilting, jewel-toned embellishments and rich brocade-like finish gave the outfit an almost heirloom quality like a royal textile reinterpreted through the lens of Paris couture.
What made the look feel especially modern was the styling. Instead of leaning into overt jewellery or heavy accessories, Isha kept things sleek and restrained. She paired the statement suit with a black Chanel suede mini pouch from the Cruise 2025/26 collection, adding a subtle contrast to the all-gold palette. Tiny oval Saint Laurent sunglasses brought in a cool-girl edge, while the Manolo Blahnik Callasli slingback sandals softened the structured silhouette with understated elegance.
