Karan Patel Makes Vertical Platform Debut With Mafia Don Returns

Karan Patel, who became a household name with his role on the TV show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is now stepping up his game and setting foot in the field of micro-dramas. He’s debuted on the show Mafia Don Returns streaming on Story TV.

The teaser shows Karan in an action sequence and sporting an old world don vibe. Confusion starts at the end of the clip when his character discovers that he is dead. Reportedly, Karan will play Jakko, a don involved in many nefarious enterprises but now seeking redemption. A surprise event brings about a dramatic change in his life. The story centres on his reaction to this turn of events and the consequent changes in his life.

Mafia Don Return- Cast

According to IWMBuzz,

Nitin Bhatia has been cast as the antagonist in the series. He will play Jojo, a very intriguing character. Nitin has appeared in a number of popular television programs, including Yeh Hai Chahatein, Naagin 6, Dharam Patnii, and Bekaboo. Along with Karan and Nitin, Siddharth Sharma, renowned for Puncch Beat, will star in the series. Siddharth will depict Karan Patel’s kid in the series.

Karan Patel On OTT Content

Earlier this year, in a podcast with Bharti Singh, Karan talked about the issues with Films and OTT content. He mentioned, “Just because one person got successful with something, everybody blindly follows them. After Kabir Singh, everything revolved around the subject of women’s abuse. The same was with Animal. Even on OTT after Family Man, everybody started making thrillers. Even Dharma and YRF, who were celebrated for the romance genre, have gotten into making thrillers.”

Karan Patel was last seen in the film Darran Chhoo, released in October 2023. Directed by Bharat Ratan, the film also stars Pragati Anand, Kiran Bhargava, Amit Dolawat, and Manoj Joshi in key roles. The story follows a man grappling with the unpredictable and often frustrating nature of his life.
