The tension of Pakistan’s record-breaking chase against England told on pacer Haris Rauf and all-rounder Will Jacks of the respective countries, as the duo engaged in a heated spat, which required the intervention of the on-field umpire and Joe Root, during the tri-series ODI in Lahore on Sunday.
It happened on the last ball of the 46th over in the second innings. Sam Curran bowled a sharp bouncer to Shadab Khan, who was batting at 99 off 90 balls. It was quite high, and Shadab looked at the square-leg umpire to ask for a wide, which was not given. But in the meantime, Rauf at the non-striker’s end was seen getting into an argument with Jacks, who was fielding nearby.
Rauf was seen pointing his bat at Jacks and walking aggressively towards him.
The umpire was quick to intervene before Root came rushing in and took Rauf away. Watch it here:

After the match, when Rauf sealed a famous one-wicket win for Pakistan with a boundary, both players were seen engaging in another conversation, which also looked tense.
