At least four people were killed and three others injured after a car lost control and crashed into a tree in Haryana’s Sonipat late at night. The victims were returning from a wedding ceremony when the speeding vehicle reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to high speed.
According to preliminary reports, seven young men were travelling in a Scorpio after attending a wedding in Bhavard village near Sonipat.
Four occupants died in the crash. The deceased have been identified as Ankush, Deepak and Sahil, all residents of Kharwali village, and Golu from Ghuskani village.
Three others, Ankit, Mohit and Sagar, were seriously injured in the crash and were first taken for emergency treatment before being shifted to PGI, Khanpur, where they are currently
receiving medical care, police said.
The accident took place as they were returning to their homes in Kharwali and Ghuskani villages in Rohtak district, and the force of the crash was so intense that the vehicle was completely mangled, India Today reported.
