Actor Saravanan Sivakumar has also come out in support of Vijay’s upcoming movie, Jana Nayagan, after a video from the film recently leaked online ahead of its theatrical release. On Friday, Suriya took to his X handle and called the lead ‘heartbreaking and unfair’. The Kanguva actor urged everyone not to watch or reshare it on social media and requested fans to ‘respect work’.
“Heartbreaking and unfair — an entire team’s passion reduced to this. I request you all with honesty, please don’t watch, share, or discuss the film here. Respect their work. I stand with my friends and condemn the act, it’s unforgivable! #JanaNayagan,” he wrote.

South Actors Express Shock, Come Out In Support
Several other actors, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Jai, Bobby Deol, GV Prakash Kumar (GVP), Khushbu Sundar, Mirnaa, Vijay Antony, Jiiva, Kavin, Vishal, Suresh Kamatchi and Sibi Sathyaraj have also expressed disappointment with the leak.
“The release of the Jananayakan film on the internet by someone has caused shock and pain. Film associations must raise their voice against this, and the government must identify those responsible and impose severe punishment. Such crimes must not be allowed to continue in the future,” Rajinikanth posted on X.
Kamal Haasan also added, “The leak of #Jananayagan is not an accident – it is the result of systemic failure. Had due process been timely, we would not be here. Inordinate delays in certification created fertile ground for piracy. When legal access is stalled, illegitimate channels take over. Piracy is beyond politics; it is an attack on the art and artist itself.”
Makers Take Legal Action
Meanwhile, the producers of Jana Nayagan have initiated legal action against the source of the leak, with further proceedings underway. The legal team representing the film’s production house, KVN Productions LLP, has issued a public notice warning against the circulation of any leaked content, including clips, images, or full versions of the film. The team has expressed “shock and urgency” over the breach, and warned of action if leaked scenes are downloaded, shared or reposted on any digital medium.
