May 28 (PTI) West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday paid tributes to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his 143rd birth anniversary, and said his unparalleled sacrifices and indomitable courage still inspires millions of nationalists.
Politician and ideologue and a leading figure in the Hindu Mahasabha, Savarkar was born on May 28, 1883, and died on February 26, 1966, at the age of 82.
In a post on X, Adhikari said, “Humble tributes to the great freedom fighter & visionary Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar ji on his Birth Anniversary.” “His unparalleled sacrifices, indomitable courage & dedication to the Motherland during Bharat’s freedom struggle still inspires millions of nationalists,” he added.
