In a kind gesture, Union Minister Chirag Paswan and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan halted his convoy on Sunday to help an injured woman lying by the roadside, while travelling from Amritsar to Jalandhar in Punjab, ensuring she was rushed to a hospital for timely medical treatment.
The incident took place near Dera Sachkhand Ballan, around 10–15 km before Jalandhar, when Paswan’s VIP convoy was passing through the area. According to officials, the minister spotted the young woman, who had reportedly been injured in a road accident, and immediately ordered his convoy to stop.

Paswan directed members of his team to shift the injured woman to a nearby hospital in one of his official vehicles. He also instructed officials accompanying him to ensure that she received prompt medical treatment.
Videos circulating on social media showed Paswan stopping his convoy and personally overseeing arrangements for the woman’s evacuation to the hospital.
As per news agency ANI, Paswan remained at the spot until he received confirmation that the woman had been admitted to the hospital and her treatment had begun. He resumed his journey to Jalandhar only after ensuring she was receiving medical care.
