Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar is steadily building strong word-of-mouth after its premiere on December 5. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller has drawn praise not only for Ranveer’s commanding screen presence but also for Akshaye Khanna’s powerful turn as Rehman Dakait — a menacing Pakistani crime lord and politician.
Among the film’s most talked-about moments is Akshaye’s dramatic entry to the Bahraini rap track FA9LA. The sequence has taken social media by storm, prompting the makers to share an official clip from the film on X to capitalise on the buzz.
In the viral snippet, Akshaye Khanna, dressed sharply in a black suit, steps out of a car with effortless swagger. He walks into an event-like setting, greets the crowd with a polite
‘salam’, and watches as dancers perform a traditional routine. The actor then surprises viewers by joining in with a few dance steps before moving to his seat. Ranveer Singh is also seen sharing the frame during the sequence.

The post by the makers was accompanied by a cheeky caption that read, “You made it viral! So now it is here, Sher-E-Baloch’s absolute ‘Bang-er’!”
‘His Jamaal Kudu Moment’: Internet Reacts In Unison
The internet wasted no time in flooding the comments with praise for the actor and the larger-than-life sequence. One fan wrote, “Absolute banger. Amazingly choreographed and shot,” while another added, “He comes once or twice a year, but what an actor. Does not stay in the limelight. Very, very underrated.”
Many users also hailed the track itself, calling it “Crazy song, Awesome Akshay… Banger…” as they celebrated the visual spectacle and music. One fan drew a direct comparison with Bobby Deol’s iconic track from Animal, commenting, “Akshay Khanna’s Jamaal Kudu moment is here.”
Meanwhile, actor Danish Pandor, who played the role of Uzair Baloch in the movie, revealed that Akshaye improvised the dance for his entry scene and there was no actual choreography involved. “He did all of that on his own. Full choreography was happening and in the middle of that Akshaye sir asked Aditya, ‘can I dance?’ Aditya said, ‘whatever you feel like doing.’ So everyone is dancing and he looks at everyone and then he starts dancing on his own. And we were all awestruck,” Danish told Filmygyan.
FA9LA, which translates to “fun time” or “party” in the Bahraini dialect, is performed by Gulf-based hip-hop artist Flipperachi and was released in 2024. The track has now found renewed attention thanks to its placement in Dhurandhar.
Earlier, Ranveer Singh had also hyped the song on social media. Sharing a clip on Instagram, he wrote, “So here’s ‘THAT’ track from the movie. FLIPPERACHI.”
Set in Pakistan, Dhurandhar follows an Indian spy who infiltrates terror networks rooted in Lyari. Alongside Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and debutante Sara Arjun in key roles.
