Nat Sciver-Brunt entered her name in the history books on Monday (January 26) by becoming the first cricketer in the world to score a century in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). In the ongoing WPL 2026
match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at BCA Stadium in Vadodara, Sciver-Brunt needed 57 balls to complete her century.
She remained unbeaten on 100 runs, and during her stay at the crease, slammed 16 fours and 1 six for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side.

The star English batter, who was retained for Rs 3.50 crore by Mumbai Indians ahead of the WPL 2026 mega auction, added 131 runs from 73 balls for the second wicket with Hayley Matthews, who made 56 runs from 39 balls.
Nat Sciver-Brunt’s super show with the bat helped Mumbai Indians post a total of 199/4 in 20 overs.

Before Nat Sciver-Brunt’s century, the highest individual score in WPL’s history was 99, which Sophie Devine scored in 36 balls for RCB in the WPL 2023 match against Gujarat Giants at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
In WPL 2025, UP Warriorz batter Georgia Woll also played a knock of an unbeaten 99 runs from 56 balls against RCB in Lucknow.

In WPL 2026, Nat Sciver-Brunt has scored 319 runs in six matches for the Mumbai Indians. She tops the list of batters with most runs in WPL this year. In WPL 2026, she has scored one century and three fifties so far for the defending champions. Her MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is second on the Orange Cap race. Harman has 260 runs to her credit in seven matches played so far.
