In his first-ever match for India A, Priyansh Arya opened the innings against Australia A at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Wednesday (October 1) and scored 101 runs from just 84 balls in the ongoing 1st unofficial ODI. During his stay at the crease, the left-handed batter from Delhi, who plays for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL), hammered 11 fours and 5 sixes. He added 135 runs in 20.3 overs for the first wicket with his PBKS teammate Prabhsimran Singh.
Wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran also impressed with his batting and scored 56 runs. Prabh faced 53 balls for the Shreyas Iyer-led side and slammed six fours and two sixes.
Prabh was sent back to the pavilion by Tom Straker. Lachlan Shaw completed his catch on the third ball of
the 21st over.
After Prabh’s dismissal, Priyansh added 40 runs for the second wicket with Shreyas Iyer.
Arya needed 82 balls to complete his century in the first unofficial ODI.

Arya was sent back to the pavilion by Tanveer Sangha on the third ball of the 26th over. Cooper Connolly completed Arya’s catch.
At the end of 39 overs, India A managed to score 300 runs for the loss of two wickets.
Iyer was batting on 70 runs from 62 balls (8 fours, 2 sixes), and Riyan Parag was unbeaten on 61 runs from 35 balls (4 fours, 5 sixes). They have added 125 runs so far for the third wicket.

Priyansh in IPL 2025
Priyansh was signed for Rs 3.80 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction by Punjab Kings. In his first-ever IPL season, Priyansh played all 17 matches for the Mohali-based franchise and scored 475 runs. In PBKS’ match against CSK at the New PCA Stadium in Mullanpur, the youngster slammed a century in 39 balls. He crossed the 50-run mark in a couple of other matches as well for Shreyas Iyer & Co.
