This ward is reserved for Other Backward Class (Women) and has a total population of 53001, of which 4715 belong to the Scheduled Castes and 438 belong to the Scheduled Tribes.

The gazette notification for the BMC Ward No. 176 (F/North) was issued on December 15, 2025 (Monday), the last date of scrutiny of nominations was December 31, 2025 (Wednesday) and the last date of withdrawal of nominations was January 2, 2026 (Friday). Nagar and running eastwards along the southside of Footover Bridge and Hemant Manjrekar Marg upto its junction with northern compound wall of Saptarshi Society across Jaishankar Yagnik Marg; thence westwards and northwards along the said compound wall upto its junction with Southern compound wall of Ramkrishna Sarda Samiti Bldg covering Ganesh Nagar; thence westwards along the said compound wall and southern compound wall of Transit Camp No. 65 & 66 upto its junction with ‘A’ passage leading to northern compound wall of Tata Power Yard; thence eastwards along the southside of the said passage upto its junction with northern compound wall of Tata Power Yard; thence eastwards and southwards along the said compound wall upto its junction with’A’Naala excluding Shastri Nagar; thence eastwards along the southside of the said Naala upto its junction with MMRDA Transit Camp (Kokari Depot) Internal Road (NorthSouth); thence southwards along the westside of the said Road upto its junction with Wadala Truck Terminal Road; thence westwards along the northside of Wadala Truck Terminal Road upto its junction with Mukundrao Ambedkar Road; thence southwards along the westside of Mukundrao Ambedkar Road upto its junction with J.K. Bhasin Road; thence westwards along the northside of J.K. PREVIOUS BMC ELECTION RESULT
The last Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections were held on February 21, 2017, in which Shiv Sena was the single largest party with 84 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party won 82 seats. Indian National Congress secured 31 seats, Nationalist Congress Party won nine, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena won seven seats. Other parties included Samajwadi Party, which won six seats; the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen won two seats and the Akhil Bhartiya Sena won a single seat. Five Independent candidates also won seats in the election.
