Manish Pandey rolled back the years on Wednesday (May 20) to play a sensible knock for Kolkata Knight Riders and help them win their do-or-die IPL 2026 match against Mumbai Indians by 4 wickets. The 36-year-old right-handed batter, who is one of the three cricketers to feature in all 19 editions of the IPL, scored 45 runs from 33 balls as the No. 3 batter to help KKR chase down the target of 148 runs in 18 overs and keep their IPL 2026 playoffs hopes alive. He added 64 runs for the fourth wicket with Rovman Powell, who made 40 runs from 30 balls.
By getting the better of MI in front of home fans, KKR have jumped from 8th to 6th position in the IPL 2026 points table. They have 13 points to their credit from 13 matches, the same as Punjab Kings,
but due to a better net run rate, PBKS are at 5th in the points table, and KKR take the 6th position.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians remain 9th in the points table. The Mumbai-based franchise has 6 points to their credit from 13 matches.
