MG Cyberster: Key Specifications And Features
Launched in India on July 25 this year, the MG Cyberster is a convertible and India’s first electric roadster. According to CarDekho.com, the car has a retractable soft top roof, enabling an open-air driving experience. The roof can be electronically operated to open or close in about 10 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
The MG Cyberster boasts a 77 kWh battery pack that drives the dual electric motors mounted on each axle, allowing it all-wheel drive capability. It has a maximum power and torque output of 510 horsepower and 725 Nm.
With the 77 kWh battery, the car is said to deliver a range of 580 km on a single charge. It should be noted that the indicated range is based on the conventional MIDC test procedure (Parts 1 and 2) and may vary depending on driving behaviour, traffic conditions, speeds, vehicle load and other factors.
Not just this, the MG Cyberster electric sports car has a top speed of 200 km/h and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
MG Cyberster Safety Features
Moreover, the MG Cyberster, as per Carwale.com, includes both passive safety measures like four airbags, a convertible steering column, and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), as well as active systems such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, and an advanced Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) suite with features like Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection and Adaptive Cruise Control.

It features a driver-focused, minimalist dashboard with a flat-bottom steering wheel that contains various buttons and three wraparound digital displays. The car’s centre console features an extra screen as well as physical buttons for functions like the roof mechanism, drive selector and HVAC control.
As for the exteriors, the MG Cyberster gets sharp Lamborghini-like scissor doors and a convertible roof, which adds to its sporty feel. It comes with a front double wishbone suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension. The vehicle’s weight is well distributed, with a 50:50 split between the front and rear wheels, which helps to maintain balanced traction.

In India, the vehicle is available in four colour combinations: Nuclear Yellow with Black Roof, Flare Red with Black Roof, Andes Grey with Red Roof, and Modern Beige with Red Roof. According to MG Motors, it comes at a price of Rs 74.99 Lakh (ex-showroom).
