Gauahar Khan Drops Post With Zaid After Ismail Darbar Said Son Has 'Right' Over Her: 'Wherever He Takes Me...'

Actress Gauahar Khan has shared a romantic post with her husband, Zaid Darbar, amid the comments made on her by her father-in-law, Ismail Darbar. Recently, music director Ismail Darbar praised Gauahar Khan for being an excellent mother, but said that he is not in support of her continuing her career after marriage and motherhood. He mentioned that while he cannot stop her, Zaid has the “right” to ask her to quit working.

Amid the social media storm created by Ismail’s comments, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar are proving that they are unbothered by the chatter because their love runs deep. Gauahar recently shared a joint Instagram post with Zaid and wrote, “Mera Maahi, definitely going #thumakthumak wherever he takes me.”

The Instagram Reel featured adorable shots of Gauahar Khan with her husband, Zaid Darbar. The actress looked radiant in a teal suit paired with gold jewellery. Meanwhile, her husband looked dapper in a white kurta pyjama. They held each other close as they posed for the camera.

The post comes as Ismail Darbar is being heavily trolled on social media for his comments about Gauahar. In a recent chat with Vickey Lalwani, Ismail said, “All I know is that she (Gauahar) has a wonderful relationship with Zaid, and that she is a wonderful mother. There is no harm in being honest about this.” He continued, “However, the greatest thing my wife Ayesha did was stop working for her child’s sake.”

When asked if he sees his daughter-in-law’s work, Ismail said, “Look, I come from a backward family. We used to turn away whenever a sensuous type of scene would come in a movie. This happens in our house even today. Gauahar is a part of our family now, we are responsible for her reputation.”

“But I can’t tell her not to work; that right only Zaid has. So I don’t indulge in activities that might bother me… I’m not one to mince my words. I know that I will not be able to tolerate what I see, and if I am not able to tolerate what I see, I will confront them,” he said.

Gauahar Khan married Zaid Darbar in 2020 after he pursued her. Zaid was 20 years old at the time. They welcomed their first child, a son named Zehaan, in 2023. Earlier this year, they welcomed their second son.
