Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar has firmly cemented its place as the biggest blockbuster of 2025. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the high-octane spy thriller continues its unstoppable run at the box office, crossing the Rs 650 crore mark within just three weeks of its theatrical release on December 5.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned over Rs 15 crore on Day 22, capping off a stellar third week in theatres. The film collected an impressive Rs 173 crore during its third week alone, showcasing extraordinary staying power at the box office despite new releases entering the market.
The film opened to massive numbers, minting Rs 207.25 crore in its first week, followed by an even stronger second week collection of Rs 253.25 crore.
With its total now standing at approximately Rs 649 crore, trade experts expect the film to comfortably cross Rs 650 crore by midnight, further extending its record-breaking run.
Dhurandhar Beats Jawan, Kalki 2898 AD and Other Big-Grossers
With these numbers, Dhurandhar has officially emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2025 worldwide. The film also entered the coveted Rs 1000 crore global club within just 21 days of release — a feat achieved by only a handful of Indian films.
In the process, Dhurandhar has surpassed the lifetime collections of several recent blockbusters. The film has overtaken Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which earned approximately Rs 640 crore in India during its lifetime run. It had earlier crossed the domestic totals of Stree 2 (Rs 598 crore) and Chhaava (Rs 601 crore).
Adding another major milestone, Dhurandhar has now beaten Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, which collected Rs 646.31 crore in India across its lifetime. The achievement places Aditya Dhar’s film firmly among the biggest box office successes in Indian cinema history.
