Meanwhile, amid her viral fame, her co-star Gulshan Devaiah called out a fake X account impersonating her and cashing in on her popularity. He took to social media to expose the imposter and tagged Girija Oak’s official account, directing fans to the real profile.

Meanwhile, soon after Girija Oak Godbole was trending on the Internet, Gulshan shared a picture with his Therapy Sherapy co-star, both sporting matching wave print shirts. He shared an appreciation post for her and wrote, “@girijaoakgodbole Matching “Babes” with the trending “Babes” Im enjoying everyone gushing over you. Trends come & go but you’re never out of fashion my friend.” Reacting to his post, Girija wrote, “Aww! Gullu you are the best.”

Girija Oak Godbole Expresses Concern Over Her AI-Morphed Pics

Meanwhile, yesterday, Girija Oak shared a video, speaking out against her AI-morphed vulgar photos that are circulating online. Girija revealed that the photos are sexualized and objectified beyond comfort, and expressed that she is worried that her son may see them someday. “I have a twelve-year-old son. He does not use social media right now, but eventually he will. Once he grows up, he’s going to have access to these images because they may be circulating right now, but they’re going to remain on the internet forever,” she said.

“These obscene images of his mother-he’s going to see them one day, and it worries me, scares me, bothers me to think how he is going to feel about them. He will know that these are not real images and that they are morphed with the help of AI. Just like people who are watching these images right now-they are also aware of the fact that these are not real images and they are modified. But it does give them some sort of a cheap thrill, some sort of a cheap digitalisation. This is scary,” she added.

Girija Oak Godbole, daughter of Marathi actor Girish Oak, is known for her work in both Hindi and Marathi cinema. She was seen in the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary. She has also been a part of films such as ‘Shor In The City’, Netflix film ‘Qala’, ‘The Vaccine War’ and Shah Rukh Khan‘s 2023 film ‘Jawan’.
