Remember Rita Reporter From TMKOC? She Made It To Asia Book Of Records At 40 For This Feat

If you watched Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah back in 2008, you’d remember the iconic ‘Rita Reporter.’ Priya Ahuja Rajda, who played the role, moved on from the show years ago, but fans have missed her ever since.

Recently, she made everyone proud by entering the Asia Book of Records for holding a weighted plank, an incredible feat at the age of 40.

She shared the news on her Instagram and wrote, “This medal is more than lifting 75 kgs-it carries every early morning, every sore muscle, every setback, every tear…and every single time I told myself, ‘Just don’t give up today.’”

She added, “Being recognised by India Book Of Records And Asia Book Of Records, for the highest weighted plank by a female in India. Asia — holding 75kgs for 42.48 seconds

is not just a fitness milestone, it’s a personal transformation.”

In her caption, she explained that strength is built in silence and reminded everyone that the key is to keep moving forward. She concluded her post with, “If my journey inspired even one person to believe in their own strength, then every second of this effort was worth it. Here’s to becoming stronger, inside and out.” She also thanked her trainer and husband in her caption.

Bhavya Gandhi reacted to her post with a fire emoji. Actress Aastha Chaudhary commented, “Omg this is amazing. Super proud of you girl.”

‘I Really Wanted To Do Something Big’
In an interview with The Times Of India, Priya shared, “I really wanted to do something big for myself before my 40th birthday because people often feel that after becoming a mother or after 40, you cannot do anything for yourself.”

Sharing more about her journey to entering the Asia Book of Records, Priya revealed that she and her trainer chose 75 kilos for the official record because it was the weight she felt the most confident about. She shared that her husband, Malav Rajda, was her biggest support throughout the journey, adding that she could focus on training every day because he took care of their son every morning.

‘Age Is Just A Number’
Having achieved this incredible feat at the age of 40, she shared that age didn’t matter. She said, “Age is just a number. You need to love yourself and stay physically and mentally fit. If you are not happy, your family cannot be completely happy.” She also added that she has a lot to achieve right now.
