Amaravati, Sep 18 (PTI) The Andhra Pradesh government in association with PanIIT Alumni India will organise a summit on October 2 and 3 in Vijayawada, which will attract more than 50 CEOs, over 100 unicorn founders, 50 plus investors and several others.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will attend the summit as the chief guest while IT Minister Nara Lokesh will be the guest of honour.
PanIIT Alumni India is a network of five lakh IIT graduates.
The summit is themed as ‘Andhra’s Resilient Deep Tech Decade – Anchored by PanIIT’.
“The Government of Andhra Pradesh, in association with PanIIT Alumni India, will organise the PanIIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 on October 2 and 3 at Dr BR Ambedkar Kala Vedika in Vijayawada,” an official release said on Friday.
It will also bring together 23 IITs, several IIT directors, global IIT alumni, policymakers, venture capitalists, family offices, and several others to strengthen the southern state’s emerging technology and innovation ecosystem.
The summit will focus on positioning Andhra Pradesh as a hub for talent, innovation, technology collaboration and investment with deep tech emerging as a key driver of the state’s long-term development.
The deliberations will focus on key areas such as energy and fuel cost optimisation, including solar, wind, green hydrogen and batteries, and deep tech covering quantum computing, AI, machine learning and semiconductors.
Likewise, it will also feature space and defence manufacturing, including drones and advanced manufacturing, bio-valley with focus on affordable healthcare, diagnostics and medical devices.
Agri-tech, water and blue economy, covering precision agriculture, irrigation and water security topics will also feature.
The programme also proposes the launch of Q-Shiva, comprising five quantum computers, further highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s focus on frontier technologies, the release said.
Three focused roundtables involving IIT leadership, industry and investment leaders will deliberate on initiatives such as the proposed PanIIT Amaravati Council, centres of excellence, industry chairs, a deep-tech industry policy, fellowships, a global IIT mentor network and the proposed PanIIT Amaravati Venture Fund.
“Andhra Pradesh is not just preparing for the DeepTech revolution, we are building the ecosystem to lead it. By bringing together 23 IITs, global IIT talent, investors, startups and industry leaders, we aim to make Andhra Pradesh a global destination for DeepTech, innovation and high-value technology investments,” Lokesh said.
“Our goal is clear, bring the world’s best talent and technology to Andhra Pradesh and create world-class opportunities for our youth,” he said.
On October 2, the CM will host a leadership dinner, featuring IIT leadership, corporate leaders, investors, policymakers, startup founders and innovators to participate in discussions on Andhra Pradesh’s DeepTech agenda.
The main summit on October 3 will feature thematic panels, networking sessions, technology exhibitions and focused roundtables.
The programme will culminate with presentations and announcements on the proposed institutional initiatives, the Q-Shiva launch, the Amaravati PanIIT Declaration and a keynote address by the CM.
“The proposed Industry Chairs, fellowships, mentor network and venture fund will further strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s DeepTech ecosystem and support its vision of Swarna Andhra 2047, aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047,” the release said. PTI STH KH
