With his special address to his young ‘friends’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shattered digital viewing records on Saturday. His latest reel on Instagram has garnered over a whopping 303 million views within 24 hours.
The video features PM Modi thanking the youth for constructive suggestions that he received against the backdrop of a widespread students’ protest following the recent paper leak linked to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026.
In his follow-up video message, Prime Minister Modi said: “Thank you friends“, for the historic response and positive recommendations on his rare late-night selfie message to the youngsters.
“This love of yours will stay with me. Our bond will continue flourish with even greater vibrancy”,
he said.
“Thanks to the youngsters who watched my video yesterday and sent insightful suggestions”, the caption read.
The latest communication followed a selfie video posted by the Prime Minister, in which he addressed the row surrounding the NEET-UG paper leak. He promised stringent measures against those involved in such crimes.

PM Modi’s remarks unfold as students, spearheaded by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), continue to hold demonstrations in several parts of the country following the paper leak controversy linked to NEET-UG 2026. The protesting students have been seeking broader educational reforms and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
