The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the application deadline for the D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2026, giving relief to candidates who missed the earlier cutoff. The entrance exam is conducted for admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education course for the 2026–28 academic session.
Earlier, candidates were allowed to apply and pay the examination fee between December 11 and December 24, 2025. The board has now reopened the application window from December 26, 2025 to January 9, 2026. Applications can be submitted through the official BSEB portal. The board has clarified that all other rules and conditions mentioned in its earlier notification will remain unchanged.
D.El.Ed JEE 2026: Exam Schedule And Key Dates
The D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Examination 2026 will be held between January 19 and February 18, 2026. Admit cards for the exam will be released on January 10, 2026. A dummy admit card will be issued ahead of the examination, and candidates will be given an opportunity to make corrections. Details regarding the correction window will be announced separately.
After the examination, the provisional answer key will be released, and candidates will be able to raise objections from February 26 to March 1, 2026. The final result is expected to be declared in March 2026. Candidates have been advised to check the official BSEB website for updates regularly.

Application Fee, Eligibility And Age Criteria
The application fee is Rs 960 for candidates belonging to the General, EBC, EWS and BC categories, while SC, ST and Divyang candidates need to pay Rs 760. The fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card, net banking, IMPS or mobile wallets.
To be eligible, candidates must have passed the Intermediate or Class 12 examination from a recognised board. General and OBC candidates should have secured at least 50 per cent marks, while SC and ST candidates need a minimum of 45 per cent.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of January 1, 2026. There is no upper age limit, and age relaxation will be applicable as per BSEB norms.
